|~ Sariel's favorite quote|
Sariel is one of the seven Archangels of the Lord, alongside Michael and his brothers. He is one of the first angels, and fought with him against The Darkness. In spite of that, he is not as popular or well-known as his other brothers. As an Archangel, Sariel's duties include being an angel of death, and watching over the spirits that sin in the spirit, and the angels who violate the divine law.
He is set to play the role of a secondary antagonist for Supernatural: Beyond Boundaries.
Sariel, also called Azrael (whom God helps, Help of "God"), was one of the leaders of angels who lusted after the daughters of men. They descended to the summit of Mount Hermon, in the days of Jared, to acquire wives and lead men astray. Sariel specifically taught men about the course of the moon. It was Sariel who taught humans the "course of the moon" (the Lunar Calendar).
Soon, Sariel was dispatched by the Lord to Jacob to explain to him the meaning of the dream about the ladder.
Sariel is quite a strict being when it dons to implementing the will of the Lord. He often comes off as pompous, due to his status as an Archangel and his unique powers, which Laylah once states that she hates so much.
