Percival is an angel and former member of King Arthur's court, sent by the Archangel Michael to assist the group of British hunters who would later become known as the Knights of the Round Table.

Percival, along with Lancelot and Gawain, was sent by Michael to assist the Knights of the Round Table, a group of legendary hunters led by King Arthur Pendragon.
After Gawain led several unfaithful knights in an attack on an exiled Lancelot and his newfound family, Percival was sent by Queen Guinevere to welcome him and his son Galahad back into Camelot.
Not long after, Percival joined Galahad and Lancelot as they, along with human knight Bors, journeyed to find the Holy Grail, a Hand of God which, when touched by Lancelot, restored his broken wings and thus his powers.
Percival joined Lancelot and the other knights during the battle of Camlann, in which Arthur's rival Mordred wished to seize the throne of Camelot. After the battle, which resulted in Arthur's death, Percival was appointed guardianship of Galahad by Lancelot, who left Camelot and became a drifter hiding from the forces of Heaven.
